Our method

Four stages, one architecture

Audit and Review, Design, Implement, Prove It and Review It. The same method whether we’re strengthening one programme or building a community from scratch.

Audit and Review

We look at the real experience: what a customer, member or attendee actually encounters, not what the strategy document says should happen. That means talking to people inside and outside the organisation, and tracing every touchpoint where engagement actually happens, from first contact through to whether people stick around.

  • Stakeholder and community interviews
  • A full audit of your marketing: touchpoints, channels and messaging
  • Gaps in onboarding, communication and who isn't in the room

Design

With the audit as evidence, we design the structure that closes the gap: programme, event or community changes that respond to what we actually found, not a generic template. Every finding links back to a decision, and we build around your community and your business, not one at the expense of the other.

  • Programme and community architecture design
  • New rhythm and format design
  • Roadmap sequenced by impact and effort

Implement

We work alongside your team to put the new architecture into practice: running the first cycle, launching the new format, and being in the room for the first event or gathering.

  • Hands-on rollout support
  • Format and documentation updates
  • First-cycle facilitation

Prove It and Review It

We agree what matters before we start, run a measured pilot, and report the return in language your leadership team can use. Then we review it together and agree what happens next.

  • Pilot design and measurement plan
  • Progress reporting through the engagement
  • Final return-on-investment report and review

Patterns we keep solving for

The Scale-Up

"Build it before we need it"

A fast-growing business that wants to avoid the engagement gaps bigger companies have. We audit how customers and members experience the organisation today, design the programme and community architecture ahead of the growth curve, and embed it before the gap gets expensive to close.

  • Audit current engagement across every touchpoint
  • Design architecture ahead of the growth curve
  • Embed from day one, not as a retrofit
The Community Organisation

"Turn supporters into a real community"

A nonprofit or community organisation with a list of supporters but no real architecture connecting them to the mission or each other. We start by asking who isn't in the room, then diagnose the gap between passive and active engagement, and design the structure, rhythm and belonging that turns a mailing list into a community.

  • Diagnose passive vs. active engagement
  • Design the community architecture
  • Launch and measure a focused pilot
The One-Off Event

"Make one event the start of something bigger"

An organisation running a single event, a launch, a conference or a fundraiser, that wants it to lead somewhere. We design the event itself and the architecture that carries people from that one occasion into ongoing engagement afterwards.

  • Design the event experience end to end
  • Build the follow-through architecture
  • Launch, run and measure the handover
The Startup

"Social media isn’t a community"

A startup mistaking its follower count for a community: engagement it doesn't own, on a platform that can throttle or disappear it overnight. We audit what's actually happening in the comments and DMs, design the architecture for a real, owned community, and migrate people off Meta and onto ground you control.

  • Audit what's actually happening on social vs. real community
  • Design owned architecture off borrowed platforms
  • Migrate and launch before the algorithm decides for you
